Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick/4 oz./113g) butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 package (about 5 to 6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C. Lightly grease a large cookie sheet.
In a large bowl, mix together brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla and egg. Stir in flour and baking soda. Stir in half the chocolate chips. Microwave the other half of chocolate chips in a small bowl until they are soft, then stir in to make a swirl in the cookie batter. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Drop cookies by tablespoons onto cookie sheet 2 inches apart and lightly press down. Place cookies in 350 degree oven and bake for 13-15 minutes. When finished, cool for 10-15 minutes then transfer cookies to wire rack to cool completely.
